Market Pulse: Webull Partners With Coinbase to Offer Crypto Trading in Canada
In the current cycle, the Florida-based exchange announced plans to expand its digital asset service offering to Canada, partnering with Coinbase for crypto infrastructure and leveraging its crypto-as-a-service capabilities and deep liquidity.
The expansion follows similar moves in Australia and Brazil.
As popularity and demand for cryptocurrency-tied financial services grow in Canada, digital asset companies are taking the Canadian trading market more seriously.
Webull, a Florida-based trading platform with international reach, announced an expansion to bring cryptocurrency custody and trading services to its Canadian customers, using infrastructure provided by Coinbase.
The brokerage will leverage Coinbase’s crypto-as-a-service possibilities to offer digital assets on Webull’s platform, extending the trading possibilities from its available asset classes, including stocks, exchange-traded products, options, fixed income, and now crypto.
The company launches these services to take advantage of the newfound popularity of the asset class, which registered ownesrip og 25% in 2026 per Ontario Securities Commission numbers.
Michael Constantino, CEO of Webull Canada, highlighted this growth, stressing that “Canadian investors expect access to a growing range of asset classes, and crypto has become an increasingly important part of that mix.” “Our partnership with Coinbase provides the infrastructure needed to deliver this offering with the scale and reliability our clients expect.
As adoption continues to grow across the country, we remain focused on giving participants secure, regulated tools to build their portfolios on their own terms,” he declared.
